Background:
Karthik Murali graduated from Northwestern University in 2010 with a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and Economics. Prior to graduating, Karthik worked for a year as a research engineer in the Single Motor Unit Laboratory at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. There, he investigated muscle properties of diseased patients using novel high density surface electrodes. Post graduation, he joined USC's PhD program in Biomedical Engineering in 2010 and is currently a member of USC's interdisciplinary Health, Technology and Engineering Program

Current Research:
Karthik uses hyperspectral imaging techniques to quantify in vivo retinal oxygen consumption

Research Interest:

Retinal electro-physiology, Hyperspectral imaging, Retinal oxygen perfusion
