InnovationNewsDaily featured work by James Weiland and his colleagues at USC. They are developing a “guide vest” that could help the visually impaired navigate without a cane. The vest works in conjunction with a helmet-mounted camera and mapping software  which gives its wearer vibrating directional cues.
