About the Program

The Biomimetic MicroElectronic Systems Engineering Research Center (BMES ERC) offers a summer program for teachers funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF).  The program is held in Los Angeles, CA at the University of Southern California.  This program will support the active involvement of middle and high school teachers in biomedical engineering research conducted in BMES ERC laboratories.  In addition, teachers will be assisted in translating and integrating their biomedical engineering experience into classroom activities that will spark enthusiam for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) in their students.

Program Details 
This is a 6-week program from June 25 - August 3, 2007 with periodic follow-up during the 2007-2008 academic year.  Teachers will recieve a stipend of $6,000 for their participation in the program.
